Recovery of sand-blend from waste castable alloys is an important issue in metallurgy, since it leads to reducing cost of each foundry product.
Recovery of sand-blend and lining material is possible thanks to magnetic separators, produced by Research & Production Company «ERGA» and designed for extraction of sprue and foundries from the product. Traditional guard-magnets are recommended for this application - both suspended (SMPA (self-cleaning), SMPR (manual-cleaning)) and pulley models (SMB). High efficiency of those models is explained by the fact that they can be installed instead of the drive pulley (SMB), and also above the moving product (SMPA, SMPR). This separation technique doesn't require serious constructive changes in the existing technological line.
It became evident from long-term practice, that usage of magnetic separators, based on permanent Nd-Fe-B magnets significantly reduces foundry prime cost and improves quality of foundry products.
