Efficiency of metal works significantly depends on rational usage of recycled scrap of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This rational usage can be achieved by means of magnetic separation. Research & Production Company «ERGA» has designed and produced three types o а magnetic separators, needed for recycling of scrap metal, and based on powerful Nd-Fe-B magnets.
Suspended separators SMPA & SMPR are designed for removal of ferrous metals from diamagnetic material. Application of SMB pulley separators is similar to the one of the SMPA model (removal of ferrous metals from the product flow), but their efficiency is higher when processing of fine (up to 1,0 – 2,0 mm) ferromagnetic products is needed. Multi-stage product separation by the SMB separator allows extraction of micron-sized raw materials. This separator model is easy to use (it is simply installed instead of the original conveyor's drive pulley).
For extraction of non-ferrous (conducting) metals from the product flow, SMVT separators can be used.
SMVT eddy-current separators divide the product flow into two parts:
- Non-ferrous metals, such as Al & Cu (size - 5 mm and greater);
- Other materials.
Those separators can be installed below the press, crusher, or in the end of the processing line, they can be used for processing of the light fraction and non-ferrous metals, received after processing scrap metal in the shredder.
Those magnetic separators proved themselves as reliable and efficient equipment.
Caution! Ferrous tramp metals should be removed from the product, before its processing on the SMVT separator.
